How did ISU lose the 2000 era momentum?

Always to the extreme URB, never understanding what is really being said. Of course if we do not listen to constant ******** and gloom and doom, then we have to want to put blinders on as you say and expect 14-0 and build statues. Because it is the only alternative to ******** about everything right? I am a long time season ticket holder, but I could give a crap less if you have been to more games than I if you have. What does that say? Nothing to me other than you are one of the many old gloom and doom guys that have helped develop the sad reputation we have in the stands.

URB...........If some imaginary board was meeting in two weeks to decide if McCarney should be coach of our football program this coming year and ALSO meeting to see if the Greg McDermott hire was actually the right decision, then MAYBE you would have just cause to write the exact same ***** posts complaining about the same things all the time, only just repeating them every other hour in a different thread.

HOWEVER......No amount of harping is going to do anything but get your dander up and get the replies like you have gotten from us. I do not see why you have to be so negative on everything. I just read an article that was linked on another thread here, that said McCarney is quite possibly going to have his best recruiting class yet for the coming season. So lets see how it goes instead of constantly, repeating of the same arguments over and over and over and over and over and over. It's getting old man, you've made your point

And I don't give a crap what you think of my or others opinions. You might want to reread your original note. You were basically telling me and others not to show up at JTS and to shut up. I was trying to point out that I have been going to these games longer than you have been and I will not stop going because you or anyone else has their tender little feelings hurt. Name one school, organization, franchise whatever where no one ever questions the leadership of the organization.

You and Cy-Lyte and Benjay just want a bunch of mindless sheep constantly bleating ISU, ISU! Sorry, I like to take a realistic look at what is going on and call it as I see it. Again, I predicted 6-6 this fall. We were 7-5 last year and lost the majority of our defense. We will play a much more difficult schedule. Is 6-6 that out of line?

Bottom line - if you don't like my opinion skip my posts. It will make life a lot easier for everyone. I don't listen to Marty Tirrell because I don't like his opinions. See, it's not really all that hard.

URBCLONE.....but you need to relize that we were very close to being 10-2 last year. In both the kansas and mizz game we failed to even score a single point in overtime, and in the Nebraska case would of won if Leaders did not drop that interception. We SHOULD have an improved offence that hopefully will be able to put up some points, and Skladany to have our defence ready. I think the best we can do is 9-3 next year, but i dont see us losing anymore then 5 games...

Mindless sheep? Why is everything such an absolute with you? You ignore the good and accentuate the bad. It's not about your 6-6 football prediction. If it was, we'd be on Jeremy's case as much as yours.

I criticize McCarney as much as most people, but in the course of my criticism, I don't flat-out ignore the progress he has made like you do. I was downright angry that we lost 3 overtime games last year. Who wasn't? I still don't see everyone trashing everything the way you do.

Well I didn't think it was that bad, but you are right, and I edited my post just the same. No point in getting nasty.

Actually when Nick Leaders dropped that pass for the ISU win in overtime, it gave Nebraska the hope/confidence to play better. They then went on after the ISU game to have a really fine season. "Remember the Maine" almost beat them in their opener (15-7).
