Gilstrap looked like he was just playing mad through the overtimes. Let's hope someone keeps ******* him off in practice for the next few days.

I love GMac, and have been ****** off at all the negativity directed at him. But he did say some things after the game that bothered me.
We always seem to react to what the other team does. He said they went small, with 4 guards, so that made it difficult for us to rebound because MG and CB were pulled away from the basket. That should be something we exploit..MG and CB should have dominated inside, forcing Penders to say "we couldn't go with 4 guards because of their big guys".
I guess I wish we just played our game, and make them adjust to what we do. What do you guys think?

Hilton Magic was waaaaay better in my day....the students are pathetic. THey don't cheer whatsoever, and are basically lifeless pieces of lard compared to our student sections when I was in college.:no:There were some ghosts of Hilton Magic late in the second half. For the first time in a "Long" time the crowd began to will the team to win when the team was struggling.....that is what Hilton Magic use to be about.
And you're the internet "tough guy" who won't call people "pathetic" to their face, but will run home to the computer and do it here.
Tell you what - I'm in section 134, row 13, seat 9 - with another effort like this, I'M leaving early too.
Observations of our rebounding situation:
On our offense:
2. Our post game is lousy. Not only can our guys not post up, when they do, we do a **** poor job of getting them the ball. Probably why we never have anyone in the paint when a shot goes up. Most of our points in the paint come from dish-offs or people driving to the basket. I still believe Craig is a great player, but until he decides that he is going to own the lane, he should probably stay out of there. He's not a good post player unless he's really angry.
IMO, the biggest problem with our post game is our point guard play. Our starting point guard seldom delivers the ball into the post when Brackins or Hamilton make this initial post up and have a single defender on their hip. He, seemingly, delivers the ball after a second defender has rotated over to help. Perhaps this is to avoid turnovers, but I also think it contributes to Brackins moving outside of the lane to get his touches.
Ok... Lets get back to the facts then...
Fact... We are a taller team
Fact.. We are a more physical team
Fact.. For the season against lesser opponents we are only +4.1 rebounding margin
Some other sad facts..
Opponents against have more steals then us.
We only turn the ball over .9 less times in a game then opponents.
And we are hitting free throws at a lower % then competition.
So... My opinion is they are lazy. When you watch the game, count how many block outs there were. You might only need 1 hand. In high school and even pick up ball, we call that being lazy.
So using facts I come to some opinions. So... what is your theory on us being out rebounded??? Poor boxing out?? No boxing out?? Opponents out hustling us?? We have been bigger compared to our opponents, and we have been more talented. With maybe a couple exceptions.
What is your thought?
