I hope there is some requirement of annual payments or x% every 5 years.

But the UofI CFO should get grilled for agreeing to same interest rate over 50yrs. vs. 25yrs. Especially, considering rates are higher now than 2020.

Edit: Checked and 20yr T-Bond in late 2020 was between 1.75%-2.00%. It's currently over 5%.

Count me in the minority I guess. I don't care about Bama v. Michigan in the Tires Plus Mega Football Championship Bowl presented by State Farm.

I think a good portion of the casuals will drop off (maybe not all, but a lot)- but I get the impression that the $EC and B1G's logic is driven by the idea that the fans of other schools (B12 and ACC) programs will keep watching and simply become fans of other programs. I don't think that logic is going to hold up over time.

But will the casuals really drop off? I'm no WNBA fan just pretty indifferent about it but I'll let the TV channel settle on it, and sort of look up now and then at it. It still counts in the ratings even though I couldn't tell you who won the next day.

Yeah, I'm not sure casuals will impact things much because IMO they watch the best game. So they'll still seek that out even if Big10/SEC broke away/economic imbalance grows.

The biggest risk for networks is the rabid fan of a Big12/ACC/G5 school. I'd define a rabid CFB fan as someone who watches 3+ games on Fri/Sat. Networks stand to lose-out if let's say 50% of rabid fans go from watching 4 to 2 games or 3 to 1.
