I'm actually the opposite unless that blowout is against a good team. Blowouts against crappy teams do nothing for me. Steel sharpens steel.

good read on KU not playing Mizzou

If I made the decisions at KU, KSU, or ISU it'd be a long time before I agree to play Missouri in any major sport, they almost screwed over all 3 teams really hard.

I'd take the 3rd best game... it's honestly about what i expected. Didn't expect it to be arkansas that we played to get that, but I'll take it.

I'm hoping that all of you shrugging your shoulders are just disappointed that we didn't get Florida or Kentucky.

This will be an awesome game. Mike Anderson plays a frenetic brand of basketball...fast-paced, quick-scoring, and he loves to press the whole court on defense. It should be a great early-season learning experience for the team and it will be fun, fun, fun to watch.

Agree. Good match up. Different style than some others. No gimme, either.

ISU will win by 30. The SEC basically sucks in basketball. This will be a boring game.

wow..just wow. How can anyone think this? So, do you go to games expecting ISU to win by over 20 and yell at the players if they're only ahead by 11?

I don't understand anyone griping about this game. Pretty dumb to do if you ask me. Very good game that is luckily at Hilton. Will be good for our resume if we can win.

Actually, this is probably the best 'matchup' in terms of a fun game we could hope for. UK would sell tickets, but I'm not sure we match up well. Florida loses a bit. This is run and gun versus run and gun. Not many teams tried to play up tempo against us last year and those were really fun games ( Iowa, BYU, UNC)

Matchup aside, it's nice to see Year 2 schedule is confined to a few days and not sprawling over multiple weeks.

I almost as wouldn't mind doing both. Was the Pac series dropped due to realignment or something else?

Bad thing about that series was it extended for like a month.

Really? Cause the Big 12 made mega cash per school last year. Mizzou got the benefit of a nice schedule with no Bama, no LSU and no Auburn in the regular season and fooled everyone into thinking they were good by beating the overrated mid-tier SEC teams riding on their former glory. They will get pounded once they get the tail end of that scheduling and those teams get back to their regular prominence.
