It is hard to get too into a set and have a ton of energy when you are trying not to pass out![]()
Yeah. I mean, it was hot as hell up on top of the hill near the medical tent. It had to have been damn near unbearable down in the pit near the stage.

And a little hard to see when you're afraid to venture more than 50 feet from the water station.
I am a pretty big Colter Wall fan and while I enjoyed him this weekend I thought he was much better when I saw him at the Fine Line in Minneapolis. AKA I agree with your statement.I'm interested to hear more about Colter Wall. I would think his music does not lend itself well to a stage set at an outdoor venue with a large crowd. Seems much more suited for indoor, intimate venues. I've never seen him live, though.
Dates for 2020 announced...July 31 - Aug 2. I guess the three day format was a success and they're going to stick with it.
I wonder if it ultimately made more money?
I'm curious who they pull this year.
I don't know. The one day I went the crow didn't look much bigger than it had in the past. But I guess they must be pretty confident in their ability to pull off three legit headline acts on a yearly basis. I wouldn't mind seeing a few alum come back for another go-round. I know the show promoter has mentioned in the past that his ultimate goal is to land Neil Young, which would be pretty spectacular. I'm hoping for Alabama Shakes (or just Brittany Howard solo...I'm not picky), the Teskey Brothers, and Leon Bridges.
I'd LOVE Alabama Shakes or Brittany Howard - I am thinking AS might be a little too big as a full act, but that maybe Brittany would be more doable since she just released her solo album?
I would LOVE Leon Bridges - especially if they could get GC, Jr back the same time. They are amazing together. I'd really dig the Teskey Brothers, too - I'm not too picky!

The first day 2019 was absolutely packed. I'm not sure if it was a bunch of people for Kacey Musgraves or what, but I had never seen it that packed in the few years I've gone out to St. Charles for the festival.I don't know.
