He was bored on a Friday night?Got a notification about a "like" of one of my replies on twitter last night. Went to look at it; it was a reply to a post from Brock Purdy back in 2022...and the "like" was from Brock.
I know, right? He was bored on a Friday night?
If you ever get to the Saylorville township, there's a place called Spooky Acres that sells this type of stuff on the side of the road. Cash or venmo.Weirdly craving a cold piece of "birthday" cake. But, too hot to go to any store and get some.

Yeah if we're heading to Saylorville sometimes we'll swing thru there. Neat business for sure.Y'know, googling the address, I've driven past there many a time, but heading north, so I was driving on the other side of the road. I'm going to have to check that out.

Watching the Hurricane Katrina: race against time shows on Nat Geo. How sobering, to say the least. So much that we on the outside had no idea about at that time.

Daughter got one of these...I got a spam text today supposedly from the Iowa DOT.
Guess Iowa is about to revoke my driving privileges. (My DL is from Florida)
My biggest worry is that I will be charged for not paying my speeding ticket at a toll booth next time I pass through one.
Dumb-asses don't even know there are no toll roads in Iowa.
Or maybe he was waiting on something else.....I know, right?
I get them every month.Daughter got one of these...
I moved this here because I didn't want to hijack the other thread. This phrase reminded me of something I used to participate in back when the online DMR forums were still a thing (15-20 years ago). There were a group of us that were...erm...more progressive than some of the others, and we had some folks in the forums who were convinced that our group was going to hell. So we decided to do it in a handbasket...and that became a catch phrase for us; we were the handbasket crew."To hell in a handbasket." - Something that went irretrievably badly. I will sometimes refer to this when things are starting to go wrong by asking "Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?"
