April to mid July is a wild ride every year. Travel ball season and why not coach multiple travel teams at the same time…
My daughter does a travel team and a rec league team. My wife coaches both and I am the dugout dad. Her rec league ended last week so that helps. My son does junior high and jv. I miss coaching him but it is fun to see that my years of hounding him about attitude and effort are paying off.

Greetings.

Monday begins with me not being able to work from home because I got myself a new phone this weekend, and didn't go through the proper steps to get my multi-factor authenticator set up correctly. Can't even clock in. huzzah. So I may just need to shower & go in today anyway. (boo.)

Sounds like something that would have happened to me back in the day. I feel your pain.

Rough day today up here in the Great White North. My State Rep and @jcyclonee's State Senator both shot by a gunman impersonating law enforcement in the middle of the night. Showed up at their houses in the middle of the night last night. Rep and her husband are dead, Senator and his wife are through surgery and hopefully out of the woods.

What have we become? Regardless of your politics this is a dark day for our democracy.
Hoffman used to live next door to our old daycare lady so I would talk to him pretty frequently when picking our child up after work. He's a pretty nice guy.

I desperately need to get a new phone. To use the port on it, I need to prop something under the cord so that the cord is at a slight angle when it enters the port. I tried to back up the phone this weekend so that I could get a new one. I couldn't log in to my iTunes account and was told to wait 24 hours. I waited 24 hours, and logged in again. This time they said I had to wait 72 hours. I was delayed by a day to be told that I needed to delay it 3 more days.

Apple devices are great when things are ok but if something goes wrong you may as well just run into a brick wall head first.

That MFA stuff for work was such a pain. We are so tethered to our phones nowadays

Son's port stopped working about a year ago. Luckily he really only needed it for charging so we got wireless charging stations and a few magnet batteries that charge wirelessly to keep him going. He was 16 and didn't need a brand new phone!

I can sell you my 8. But then I’d have to get a new one.

Ever beat your head against the wall explaining something? These gates need one change to work in my book. This other guy was trying to get me to do 10 different things. Some people like to make things difficult.

We were JUST allowed to officially WFH in December. (They did during Covid, and we could during bad weather) My supervisor recently mentioned using our phones to call vendors or other contacts when we WFH. Absolutely not. My job doesn't help pay my cell phone bill. I ain't using it for anything beyond MFA.
