ran a load of the boy's clothes in the washer last night. When I switched the clothes from the washer to the dryer, i noticed a strange gel-like substance covering the inside of the washing machine. Turns out one of the boys put his used diaper in the dirty clothes hamper so it went into the washing machine. I spent about 30 minutes trying to clean out the wash tub and I still didn't get all of the absorbency material out of there.
I know I shouldn't laugh but I did. We ended up with a pullup in the toilet once.

of course, I figure this out right before bed. I ended up getting to sleep about 45 minutes later than what I initially planned. Also, I'm afraid to run any more clothes through. I might try to run a cleaning cycle but not sure if it will get rid of that gel stuff.

Run one of those soap cutter tablets through it. Will help with any smell and hopefully cut any of the gel stuff. Not sure if vinegar would help cut any residue. I’m not sure what that stuff is made of.

We met our oldest daughter's boyfriend's parents this weekend. I was pretty nervous but got along with them great. I talked to dad for pretty much 2 hours straight. I really have no complaints about the guy she's dating other than the fact that he's dating my daughter.

We tried a bunch of new places in Des Moines and generally liked them all. Good News Darling is a pretty darn cool speakeasy.

Is it social media or what? I seem to encounter more and more fake people all the time. A person says one thing but then makes a statement that totally contradicts what they say they believed just 5-10 minutes before. It’s pretty hard to have conversations with people when you realize that that is how they are.

A single gal that I work with recently received a date request from a man named George Straight with a picture of a white guy (but not The George Straight) from a phone number in Nigeria.

She received a follow-up from the same phone number 3 days later from a Rhonda Rousey (but not The Rhonda Rousey) with a picture of a racially non-descript woman with a big butt.

That's a really quick transition.

I guess I was leaning more fake personas than actual fake. Like they tell you hey I love going to Mexico to just lay on the beach drink margs and do nothing. Then 5 minutes later they say there is no way they could go to a Jamaica resort because they always have to be doing something and wouldn’t be able to just sit on their beach.

Is that the one connected with Hello Marjorie? We went there (HM) once while in town for the Des Moines Arts Festival.
