Hi everyone:

My research continues and I have a few requests that I know someone out there can help me with:

1. Does anyone have a picture or scan or PDF of the diagram that Sports Illustrated made of Seneca Wallace's run all around, over, and through Texas Tech? OR a similar idea by another publication? (SI Vault couldn't help.)

2. Does anyone know what Marcus Fizer's nickname was with Iowa State? Jamaal's was Mel Mel the Abuser, but that was more of a Rucker Park thing.

3. Regarding the two questions above, do any of you have any random thoughts or comments? Any quirks or character traits of them? (Such as, Marcus was one of the most tattooed NBA players; Seneca's abbreviated nickname was Trick Daddy, etc.)

Thanks so much to anyone who can help or point me in the right direction.

And just for helping, here are a few BLASTS FROM THE PAST:

I'm sure some people around here have copies of that issue - someone aught to be able to scan that page. I remember it vividly - nice pub. for him and ISU in that issue.

Thanks for linking those older articles, especially the one about Wallace. It makes me hurt and smile at the same time - thinking about that season. We certainly were blessed to have a talent like Wallace on the field and he delivered some dandies for us. If I could just turn back time...

I don't think Fizer had any nicknames that stuck. I went to ISU during the Fizer and Tinsley years and I've heard of some of the Tinsley names but never anything catchy for Fizer. Probably one of the more recognizable nicknames during the time I was at ISU was Jake Sullivan being called ATM because he was money from 3 point land.

How fun to look back on this comment.

Barring a total collapse in the regular season's final 45 days, Seneca Wallace deserves the Heisman Trophy. .

I was thinking the same thing...tragic collapse ended on the smurf turf:no:
