I think Klein should win it honestly. But between the two with an actual shot, I'll take Manziel over Teo. I don't think Teo was dominant enough to win at LB. If I could retroactively give this Heisman to Dat Nguyen I would. Teo's numbers and intangibles are no better than Jake Knotts would have been in a full season.

And setting the yards record in the SEC is impressive.

yeah, ive been kinda rooting for Manti Teo cause you don't see defensive players up for the Heisman very often

Don't get me wrong, Manziel (sp??) is a good player, but everyone knew what Collin Klein was going to do all year and he still put up great numbers. Also, I'd like to see a defensive player break through and win it. A defensive player can be the best player on the field (like Te'o) and won't get the recognition because the ball isn't in his hands every play.

Also, look at Manziel's numbers against top 25 opponents (outside of Alabama). He also played 2 FCS schools where a lot of huge game numbers came from.

Should be Te'o, but the way the award is given and the fact that you can compile offensive stats much easier than defense it will go to Johnny Football.

Doesn't matter what he does next year..he deserves it this year. He's played better than Klein, his stats are better and he finished stronger. He put up big numbers in every game after their LSU loss.

It would be interesting to see where this would stand if Klein had managed to win that Baylor game for K-State. The SEC crowd would certainly crow that Manziel was more impressive, but Klein would have a perfect record.

The way it stands now, it's not interesting at all. Everyone knows Manziel is going to win. His odds are something like 1/15 in Vegas (Meaning you have to risk $15 to win just $1).
