Are finally available in the Des Moines Market on Directv.

We got the big 4 (5,8,13,17) this morning about 6 am.

This is great news for those of us not able to pick them up with an antenna.

Thank God!!

Just in time for Basketball season.

No ISU games are on in HD, only the ones on ESPN.

Do they showup in place of 5, 8, 13, and 17 or as additional channels?

Should show up next to them.

Make sure that if you have a "filter" set up (only showing certain channels) that you check there to make sure they are selected.

If you have your favorite channels selected, you will need to actually add them to your guide! I'm going to check right now!

I'll check my filter which is probably blocking the new channels but why would the old channels all of a sudden disappear?

We just got them in the Quad Cities as well. Not getting rid of my antenna, though, because the new channels line up right along with the antenna channels, and if we lose satellite at least I'll still be able to watch some TV.

Seems we have ours - they just replaced the SD channels with the HD versions. Unless you viewed the channel - you may not know anything was changed. But, I know we have the setting turned on that removes the duplicate SD channels from our guide.
