And they probably won't even win their own regional. I'm sure they looked great playing a bunch of Big 10 teams.

Heller has missed 5 straight NCAAs and is still thought of as a good coach by their fans? I know Iowa's baseball program was really bad but jeez.

He followed Lickliter- all the troubles in the U so I athletic department are still his fault. Even though it has been 12 years and he didn't coach baseball.

It was Indiana State between UNI and Iowa.

I went to elementary/high school with Rick, played Babe Ruth baseball and high school football/baseball with him. He’s a good dude, and a coaching career in sports is, like, his dream job.

So you are from the Eldon area, I taught school at Cardinal for 20 years, and got to meet Rick through his uncle, who I taught and coached with, also worked a couple of the baseball clinics he gave at the HS for Ronnie when he coached there.

I just cannot see him leaving EIU, and he is doing a hell of a job at Iowa.

I think that’s fairly out of character for him. He’s had a rough year though.

LOL Iowa is 4th or 5th place in a crappy Big 10 where even the best teams only finished 10-12 games over .500. Nobody cares. And that includes like 98% of Iowa fans.

Oh 100%. There was a little racket for them it seems like the past couple of seasons, but ultimately the fans don't care. A little precursor to what is about to happen next women's basketball season.

Iowa was bad this year, they weren't even close to even being in the selection conversation. I don't think the average fan understands how bad the B1G is in baseball and Iowa was like 5th in the conference.
