Did anyone else read that former Hawkeye Jonathan Babineaux is accused of felony animal abuse after allegedly beating his girlfriend's dog to death or at least near death.

If it's true, then that's pretty sick, and I hope he serves some jail time.

I don't know how you can weigh the merits of killing a dog with beating a human, and pick one over the other. They're totally apples and oranges in my book.

Isn't cruelty towards animals one of the first signs of serial killers?

Maybe if the dog had some sharper teeth or some really rank breath it could have bought some time to get away. Then again, ol' Jonny is pretty speedy...
