We played our worst first 30 minutes and still won. 10 good minutes were all we needed
Iowa played so well this game. I feel bad for them for once. They just ran out of gas. Did you see the bench players Mad Fran stuck in there with about 5 left in the second half??? Yikes....
This is actually spot on. Giving Woodbury the ball at the end is an egregious error.
I don't think Iowa will play any better this year and they really wanted this one. Glad we still won playing the worst game we have played this year.
I would say Iowa played their best half of the season hands down. The second half was far from their best effort. Regardless, ISU coming back from 20 down showed some serious guts. Awesome game.
I bet their fans are already complaining how the only reason we won was cus it was at Hilton and its our "super bowl". They always love to prop themselves up. I hate losing to Iowa since it's Iowa and we don't get to redeem ourselves with a 2nd game, but beating Kansas is right up there with beating iowa.
Good game and a tough win I don't however feel Iowa played its best game Uthoff had great 1st half. Jok carried it over for 3 more minutes after that everything was avg. A lot of coaching mistakes and mental errors at the end again decided it.
Paul Rhoads and Fran McCaffery are similar in a lot of ways. Both get out coached and lack the ability to make in game adjustments. Both good motivators though.
