Grinnell is a very cool town. You hae the town/gown rivalry, like any college town. That comes from very smart kids coming in from all over the country who think they're better than the locals.
But a very cool town...

I've lived in Tempe, AZ; State College, PA; Minneapolis. Grinnell is a cool town.

For a town of less than 10,000 Grinnell is very cool. I know when I was at ISU they would bring in some pretty impressive indie music acts to play free shows for the students. I spent a weekend hanging out there and had a great time.

grinnell is a pretty cool town, esp. for its size. you'd be surprised by the number of acts, arts and etc. they bring in.
