Seem to have competitive prices. Anyone have experience with them?

I tried to buy a car there about 10 years ago, but they didn’t want my trade for some reason. It was worth about 10. They offered 6,500. I knew I had to go high if I wanted around 10 so I countered with 13. They just said “well, we’re too far apart. Have a nice day.” It was weird. It got I think I got 9,900 elsewhere.

Bought a 2020 Gladiator from them and have no complaints. Typical dealership in that with trade ins you can expect to be taken for. I didn't even bother trying having been previously in the industry.

Bought a new 2022 Ford Maverick from them and sold it to CarMax 10 months and 9000 miles later for $4000 more than what I paid for it new.

Net matters, not the individual pieces.

Some dealers price vehicles high....and offer higher trade in values to compensate. Other dealers price competitively and make lower trade offers.

$50k sticker with $25k trade is the exact same as $45k sticker with $20k trade. The first dealer gets your deal because they offered you more for your trade. The second dealer gets you because of the purchase price. Dealer one throws your trade in on the lot at $30k and dealer two throws your trade on the lot at $25k and they repeat the same exercise.

I get that, but the price i paid for the new car was similar to what Granger was asking.

No biggie. I’m sure they had a good business reason from their perspective. It just always seemed odd from mine.

We bought a truck there in 2018 and had a good experience. We would also take our vehicles there to get serviced (45 minute drive). We went to a local (5 min away) dealer once for service - decided never again.

Sales experience with Granger was good, but last week they charged me $121 for an oil change and tire rotation for my 2022 Ford Maverick. Granted, the Maverick requires synthetic oil, but $121 seemed crazy to me

Built a Jeep Wrangler online and then sent it to 3 area dealers. Granger was $3k less than anyone else. The transaction went well, they communicated well, and it was an easy process. They told me they are the #1 online dealer in the Midwest because of their prices and many people come from out of state to get vehicles. So they know what they are doing.

Ask about service plans before you pay for a single visit service. It usually is about half the price to pay for multiple services up front. I got a 3 pack for my Ram 1500 last summer that included full synthetic, rotation and full service inspection for $60 per service.

I see on the Mopar site today you can a coupon for 2 full synthetic oil changes for $100...

If I remember correctly, isn't Granger Motors a big Cyclone fan? Seems like I recall a guy from there posting on here, around bowl time maybe.
