The banking systems were clearly not scaled up enough for most of America WFH logging in to check their accounts.

As of 11:30 today, nothing. It did not take them long to take the payment I had to make on my taxes so I know they have my information. Guess maybe tomorrow.;)
I would check paperback. Linked at the too kf this thread. It seems if you paid then you have to reenter your bank account info unless you want to wait for a papercheck.

Do you do that through the "Non-Filer" portal? That's all I've seen for this but it's misleading to say I'm a non-filer.
Click the link I provided in the first post of this thread and then click the "get my payment" button at the top of the page. This will check the status and let you know if you need to enter additional info.

Why are you still claiming your 21 year old as a dependent? That’s kind of undercutting him on some money.

I can speak to our situation in that by claiming my stepdaughter it benefits our situation and has no effect on hers. So I figure if we benefit and it doesn't hurt her we will claim her.

"Cannot determine your eligibility"

I e-file every year so there's no reason for this. Guess we're never getting ours.

My banks website is really struggling today, but I eventually got in and confirmed my payment. I also filed in Februaury with a refund via direct deposit.

Wherever I go, there I am.
Same. And then my banks website and app both crashed this morning.
No. eligibility is a separate issue from direct deposit. I have a number of clients who qualify and who have filed returns who are currently getting that message. I also logged in to provide my Mom's direct deposit information. It said that she qualified (which she does), but then said it could not complete the process and to try later. The damn thing isn't working properly.

If you go into the Get My Payment website, it just says they cannot determine your eligibility. I see people saying they added their bank account info, but there is no option to do that. All you can do is Exit. Where or how are prople adding their bank info?

Off the grid
Website instructs me to enter my 2018 information rather than the 2019 return information that I filed two months ago...

Correct. This is all based on 2018 returns because not everyone has filed 2019. They aren't going to use 2018 for some and 2019 for some. They're using 2018 for everyone.

It is being added through the Get My Payment part if the person filed returns. There is a separate button for those who did not file returns (i.e. had no filing requirement).

That is likely what will happen, though that is NOT what exactly how the statute was enacted. It is more a limitation of the IRS being able to do it quickly. I've listened to a number of commentators who opined they would just run with 2018 to keep it simple.

Thats not true. I entered my 2019 as instructed and it worked for me.

That is contrary to what all the guidance I have been reading is saying. The Guidance I have been getting all along is it will use your 2019 info if you've filed and if you haven't then it will use 2018 info.
