I saw that last night coming home from work. I'm getting pretty excited about these low gas prices, but how long will they stay that low. :skeptical:

As long as we are in a deflationary pattern gas will stay down.

Gas is so cheap that I filled up the empty milk jug and this is what we use on our cereal in the morning.

Milk - $3.49/Gallon
Gas - $1.99/Gallon

No brainer!

I wonder how many people signed up for the 2.99 a gallon guaranteed from Chrysler and Jeep? I hope they post a list so we can snicker at them.

REAL gas is still just above $2. It's ethanol that is 1.99 (which includes all the subsidies).

Either way...nice to see it continue to drop.

As of this morning we're down to 2.52 for the cheap stuff. We maxed out at 3.94.

It is not that low here in cedar rapids yet. But it sure makes me feel better about my truck purchase last spring.

I don't expect it to last though gas prices normally fall around election time. And they normally go back up after elections. It just depends on how much and how fast it goes back up. My guess is within a year we see $4 gas again.
