Light rain at Jack Trice. Another wave of harder rain is heading this way. Total amount of rain isn't going to be much.

I'm coming to Ames this afternoon and I'm interested in how much rain Ames has received and how everything looks.

Have light rain that started around 8AM. The donor RV lots have a pretty good turn out so far with people setting up the barbecues, tents, etc.

Tailgate is going to be a soaking early. Could see about a quarter to half inch of rain. Showers will linger and be scattered about central iowa by gametime but the bulk of the rain will have moved out to the SE. Light winds. Chilly temps... about mid 50s at kickoff. If the clouds clear out quickly, temps could drop fast by the end of the game.

Related question...Are the back rows of the lower section below the upper deck? I'm in row 44 in section 20 and just wondering if we will have any rain cover.

The rain should be clear by 4 pm. I plan on heading to the lot around 12 still though, the rain is very light...

Is it lightening there? I heard from someone in Ames that it is, but the clouds don't look like they would product much rain let alone lightning.

I live in north ames and it is raining. Heard a couple rumbles of thunder but no lighting. Radar shows some heavier stuff headed our way. Kinda glad we made a big pot of chili for tailgating!
