No doubt. An overwhelming desire to rule is never a good thing.
The possibility of King Gendry is getting more and more likely, imho. I'm not 100% sure of it yet, but the pieces are starting to fall into place.

She's a Targaryen. Her Dad killed their Grandpa and uncle, and their Dad went to war because her brother raped and abducted their aunt. The entire North has no reason to love Targaryens, even ones that helped them.Agree. Sansa and Arya pissed me off.
Danaerys has sacrificed a ton fighting alongside them (hell, if she had gone south first, the wall probably doesnt get knocked down and it takes longer for the night king to get south... she could have wrapped **** up and headed back north). But all she gets is undeserved hate from Sansa.
Oh, and this "Daenerys is the mad queen" thing comes off as really forced if that's the direction theyre going. She's angry but deservedly so. Theyre also acting like civiliians have come out ok in most of the other cities that have been conquered. Out of nowhere suddenly its a travesty if there is collateral damage. Varys can **** off if he's talking about 'whats good for the realm'. What is bad for the realm is Cersei remaining in power.
I mean Jon did lead well enough to get murdered already.Lot's of clues along the way in earlier seasons that she was not going to be an effective ruler.

I think after losing one fleet already, I'd skip the sailing part. Why would Dani and the fleet get to Kings Landing before her army and Jon had time to march down from the North. It makes no sense, send the army down, and then wait a week, and then sail down with the fleet so they all get to Kings Landing at the same time. Right now, she is outnumbered, and will be until the rest of her army marches to her. No good military mind would ever allow that to happen.
only very recently. Opinions change hard. I'm just saying that the "Mad Taragryen" stereotype is hard to shake, because it was earned many times over in Westerosi history. They know this isn't true now though
especially if you're going to make demands. You want a show of force. Why would Dani and the fleet get to Kings Landing before her army and Jon had time to march down from the North. No, madness is far more prevalent for the Targaryens. Why exactly are we acting like "shes a targaryen" means anything? Jon is a targaryen. There were good targaryens and bad ones. And that goes for most houses.
She not only let Jorah go North with Jon but flew her dragons over to save them all before she had “proof” they existed so...
I think in everyone's rush to defend Danerys they're forgetting what we have right now: two women that are willing to burn King's Landing to the ground just so they can rule over the ashes. This isn't the same Danerys that conquered Slaver's Bay while keeping innocent casualties to a minimum; this is a Danerys that will kill every single person in King's Landing if she has to in order to remove Cersei from the Iron Throne. What's worse is it's like finding out that she doesn't have a legitimate claim to the throne has flipped a switch in her. Suddenly she's a paranoid woman that trusts very few people.
