Any advice on how I can get my wife to remove the fuzz off her taco?

Really? I was extremely disappointed in them. I was expecting good brisket and got average shredded beef

Totally agree. The "brisket" is very bland and has almost no flavor. Other than the california heat and the quesadillas, their food is average at best. Been to both the DSM and Ankeny locations several times (wife loves the place) and it seems to be a 50/50 shot what the quality of the food will be (especially the potatoes -> half the time they are soggy and barely warm)

I just recently found out Torchy's existed outside Austin. And today I learned it exists outside Texas. Kind of takes a little bit of the sheen off, to be honest.

I have a long story how I found out there was one located in Waco where we were staying last spring.

Torchy's just opened in Ft Collins so hoping to get there again soon.

Idk, I'm kind of disappointed after hearing all of the hype. It's definitely not better than El Azteca. Good food, but not at the top of my list.
