I don't understand how you can hate a program that is a quality program, and everything ISU wants to be.

I find it to be pretty easy

On a serious note... Now that Mizzou is gone, KU is without a rival in the Big 12. KU fans are too high and mighty to acknowledge K-State as a true rival.

Usually, rivals are semi-close in quality of program. ISU's rise has come at a time where we could become KU's rival. I don't think we're there yet, but we're close and we could get there with an outright Big 12 regular season title this season.

So let's get the hate flowing now and then when the real rivalry comes we'll be set.

It's always amusing when people from Kansas....Kansas mind you, make fun of any other state. They have quite the inferiority complex.

Nah, you explained why KU fans don't really see K-State as a rival when you said "Usually, rivals are semi-close in quality of program". KU is 53-5 against them in the time most of our roster has been alive. Not a real rival maker. They just don't matter very much in the scheme of things.

If ISU keeps at the level they are for another handful of years and is able to displace KU from the top of the league from time to time then I expect it will develop into a rivalry.

I cheered for Mizzou to lose every game, even in non-con. I still cheer for ISU to win their non-con games so they must not be there yet, at least for me.

So KU fans are criticizing ISU fans for the court-rush? I hope ISU beats KU at Phog in March to clinch Big 12 title, Iowa State fans who are there storm the court ... and Self trips on a TV cable in the process.

Well if Self trips/aka gets "trampled by students", as long as he's down writhing in pain, let's have WeatherMax tea bag him.

Kansas always sucks in big games in the non-con. I cheer for them until conference play and after conference tournament.

Why would we root for a team (KU) that is constantly helped by the refs?

**** the refs
**** all hawks

I think the venom starts in 16-17 if ISU is outright Big 12 champions this season. It's not a traditional setting by any means when one school has won a share of the title for eleven seasons in a row.

Hate is a strong word. There's few, if anythings, that I hate in this world. Do I root against Kansas? All the time - but this isn't about Kansas. I root against teams I think that are cocky and could use a lesson in humility all the time like Duke, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Especially Kentucky lately. Plus, if Kansas played Kentucky or Duke, I'd probably actually root for Kansas

They were awfully tormented by being schooled by WSU in the tournament.

Good times.

One season is an annoyance, not a rivalry maker.

So ISU needs to win 11 consecutive titles before we can be rivals, got it.
Do they have to be real titles or can they be shared, ya know, no clear winner, like some of KU's?
