I didn't have the "pleasure" of meeting these individuals, but in '08 somebody tied grocery bags of **** to the door handles on the marching bands buses and trailers.

I have a friend who says he attracts a-hole behavior. He said he was unfortunately at a Walmart (eastern IA) last year at the checkout minding his own business, wearing a cyclone-shirt. Some old lady in front of him sneered at him like he was the Unibomber........

It's the hawkeye family whose entire casual wardrobe is entirely black 'n gold ugly-a#s crap

My wife and I were checking out at Yonkers in CR. ($350+ purchase by the way.) I'm wearing and ISU polo and my wife has a Troy Polamalu jersey on. The 65 year old check out gal looks at me and says. "I really like your wife's shirt but I don NOT like yours." So much for customer service. I ask her if she has always been a Steeler fan and she gives me a deer in the headlight stare. I then point to the Steeler logo on my wife's jersey. The only response she could muster was "It looks similar to Iowa's uniform." Typical Hawk fan.

If that's your worst ever you've had it pretty good. I little bit of ribbing from a cashier shouldn't bother anyone, even if they weren't observant enough to see what was actually on the jersey.

2005 - There we were minding our own business pulling into the Casey's in Huxley to buy some ice. A hawk bus was loading up, one lovely gentlemen on the bus yell at me and my buddy "sorry about the game today." I can only assume he knew the Hawks weren't going to show up, he really didn't need to be sorry.

Needless to say, we wished we could've seen him after the game.

We were in Iowa City for the game a few years back. It's about 2 AM and we're walking back to the house we are staying at. Guy walks up to my friend (a girl) and offers her a beer. She cracks it open and they start talking and sit on a stoop of a neighboring house. My gf (now wife) are just chatting a few feet away at the time. About 3 minutes later his buddy comes up, grabs the can, dumps it out and says, "I'd rather waste a beer than give it to a Cyclone fan". While he is doing that the first guy pulls out his D- and starts to pee on her feet while she's still sitting there. My gf and I rush over and get her and walk away. No sense to start anything at this time of night.

That was the last time we were in IC.

I knew one that didn't put beans in their chili, we're not friends anymore, like I'd associate with someone like that.

Taking a shot in the dark, I'm guessing it's because he's an a-hole. That's usually how it works.

This one time during an Iowa-Iowa State game the Hawk fan behind me offered me an unopened 20oz soda he had extra, but it was diet, so he basically called me fat. Worst fan base ever.

Well I technically never "met" this hawk fan before, but he is always saying how he wants to "get with" my cousin on one of my favorite websites.
