What is your favorite song/album where a musician crossed genres?

I don’t want to steal his example, but one that comes to mind is Jack White on Beyoncé’s “Don’t Hurt Yourself.”


I've got the worst cross stream remake ever. The jazzy Frank Sinatra trying and failing miserably to sing Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.

Paul Simon put out two albums where he dabbled in two different genres of world music.

First he put out Graceland that leaned heavily on South African music.


Then he put out The Rhythm of the Saints which has a Brazilian flavor.
