I have read Where the Red Fern Grows more than once two. Excuse me, I apparently have something in my eye that makes them water...

I read it about once a year, it only takes a day or two. Reminds me of growing up. Plus I read it because my tear ducts get backed up sometimes and I need a good Knowshon Cry.

Tolkein clearly. Most everything by Stephen Ambrose but specifically Citizen Soldiers and Band of Brothers at least every couple of years. Shelby Foote's masterpiece on the Civil War I've read three times because it's such a complete story of America in so many ways. I re-read a lot of Arthur C. Clarke's Rama series every 4-5 years probably. Heinlein's best stuff Stranger in a Strange Land, the Moon is a Harsh Mistress get a re-read about that often. I love P.J. O'Rourke's stuff and Parliament of Whores and Eat the Rich are just so good I need to revisit them every few years.

I have a tendency to re-read things quite a bit, as I'm a fairly fast reader, and I like to revisit stories. I read Gone With the Wind when I was 11, and despite knowing all the problems and privilege issues with the book, have re-read it at least 5-6 times. I've also read through Harry Potter multiple times, along with Jean Auel's stuff (though the later books were really disappointing.)

I read Gone with the Wind in sixth grade. I never reread it, but I did read "Scarlett" twice for some reason.

I forgot the Harry Potter books - have definitely reread those.

From memory without thinking too hard:

Hobbit/LotR/2T/RotK by JRR Tolkien - At least a dozen times.

GoT/CoK/SoS/FfC/DwD by George RR Martin - 10 for the first, working towards my second for the last, descending between

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein by Mary Shelley - jeepers, like... a hundred times?

Enchantment by Orson Scott Card - First half about 6. Second half about none.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman - 10ish.

Sandman by Neil Gaiman - close to fifty

Watchmen by Alan Moore - more than Sandman, less than Frankenstein.

Name of the Wind/Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss - two rereads.

Devil You Know by Mike Carey - Two rereads.

The Bible by Various - at least three times a year, in 4 languages.

The Entire Black Company Series by Glenn Cook - one reread, should do another, it's been a while.

Systematic Theology of Augustus Strong - three times.

Systematic Theology of Norman Geisler - Vol 1 twice, Vol 2 once, and I haven't read vol.3 on.

And I'm sure I'll think up a dozen more.

Edit: Told ya I'd think up more:

Perdido Street Station, The City & the City, and Kraken by China Mievelle - once each

Swamp Thing by Alan Moore - Twice

1984 by George Orwell - a dozen times or more

Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis - Used to read them often, not so recently.

Mere Christianity, Problem of Pain, and Screwtape Letters also by Lewis - a dozen or more times.

Where the Conflict Lies by Alvin Platinga - two rereads (it's dense, yo)

Confessions of St. Augustine - five or six times.

Suma Contra Gentilies and Suma Theologica - a hundred gagillion billion times

City of God by Augustine - Twice

A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking - twice.

We Can Remember It For You Wholesale by Phillip K. **** - six or seven.

MAn In The High CAstle by **** - a lot.

the Bible once yearly. Great true history, and teaching and the words in it do not come back void. Highly recommended.

LOTR (plus Sim and Hobbit), I can re-read anytime easily.
others include
A Prayer for Owen Meany - Irving (I think I am the 3rd one to suggest that book)
The Stand - King
The Bourne Series - Ludlum, still enjoy that series even after the moves (which I enjoyed the movies too as they stood on their own)

I don't think that I have actually read a book for fun since high school when I used to read Gary Paulsen books constantly. I've read every one of the Brian's Saga books at least three times, Soldier's Heart probably 5 times, most of the Murphy series, and various others that weren't a part of a series.
