Feeling guilty i didn't get to this dual, but I couldn't be happier for Pestano to go out on senior night with a last second fall! Down two starters at key weights and the team found a way to win! This team has faced a ton of adversity by adjusting to the new staff and guys leaving the team..But with all things considered they've exceeded my expectations this year!

In post-meet press conference, Dresser said Parker was cleared to wrestle today, and practiced. However, he was noncommittal as to whether Parker would take the mat at Northern Iowa. Said they would decide that day.

Briggs gets majored. Gave up a late TD to lose 10-2.

Simmons pouring it on right now. 10-0 in the 2nd.
I know that Briggs has taken a few licks out there, but dang, I like his spunk. He is learning the hard way, but he never gives up, and I'm willing to bet serious money he will never given up stalling points, unless he's ahead late in a match.

If someone can’t appreciate what Briggs is doing, well, I don’t have much appreciation for them.

Parker is listed and so is St. John. I don't understand why they don't give Jennings a shot there.
Both Jennings and St. John were suited up tonight, but St. John went out and took the forfeit. I hope that means that Jennings gets to wrestle tomorrow. Fresno kid at 165 had a seizure today, so that is why they forfeited. Prayers for that kid and his family.

Yeah, I'm also hoping he gets the call today. Though I am still a confused why they'd split - I know Dresser said there would be a wrestle off this week but so far this season we know what we've got in St. John but we don't know what we have in a heavier Jennings and there's only a very short amount of time to find out. The Fresno guy is a just over .500 wrestler so he would have been as good of a measuring stick as there is left since the UNI guy is below .500 and the Iowa guy is top ten.

(I know we ended up not wrestling the Fresno State guy so it ended up a moot point but if he had wrestled it certainly appears like St. John would have been the guy to take the mat)

Wow. Seizures are scary. Hope he’s OK.
