The team has their last multiple event weekend of the year as they host Fresno State on Friday night for senior night and then head to UNI on Saturday to take on the Panthers. We may or may not have Parker this weekend but he is listed in the dual lineups.

Man...that Fresno dual doesn’t seem too long ago. Amazing the lineup we ran out there. I realize it was a multi-dual tournament.

We will have a different guy going at 141 (hopefully), 149, 165 (hopefully, and for a different reason than 141), 174 and 285, plus what appears to be a MUCH more effective 197.

So what do those near the program know about Parkers injury? The longer he stays out of the lineup the sicker the feeling in my stomach becomes...

Everything I have been told, it is a tweaked knee injury and not related to any other situation

So like Nolf in that there are no tears? I hope that's the case. I really would like to see some wins in the Iowa meet.

No idea if there were tear or not. I just don't think it is related to the non injury (Storr) situation going on.

Jennings lost his wrestle off to St. John, so we won't see a different guy at 165. Why he had to wrestle off for the spot, let alone against St. John after his dismal performances is anyone's guess. Swalla lost a close wrestle off to Bush too.

I heard the knee locked up and they scoped it to release it. No tears and he should be back in a couple of weeks. Breitenbach had the same thing happen and the same procedure done at one point and he was back on the mat very quickly.

That's disappointing. Jennings has been by far the better wrestler in competition.

He did get pinned his 1st 2 starts, but the NDSU win was big. Surprises me.

Consistency from someone is the key at this weight

I agree, but Jenniings and Breitenbach are the only two to post wins (one each at 165 in dual competition). What I don't understand is why is St. John even in the mix, especially when Jennings beat him soundly in an open tournament. With a big win like last weekend, why wouldn't you give Jennings a chance to show some consistency and build on that momentum. I don't get it, but then again, I'm not the coach, lol.

Sorry but those two shouldn’t even be wrestling off. There are enough matches against other guys where I don’t care how they wrestle against each other. I truly don’t understand why Jennings isn’t the guy for this weekend.
