I wonder who is bankrolling this. Or did they just raise ticket prices by $50 each to cover it?

The Savannah Bananas do this at their home games, too. Just bundle the cost into tickets, essentially.

But it also reduces the staffing needed to run the stands and the lines fly because there's no transactions taking place. For extremely low-cost items like what they're offering, it's a great idea.

Providing value in-stadium for ticket purchasers in order to get them off the couch watching from home. I wouldn't be surprised if you see a lot more of this kind of thing.

Yeah, in a cool old minor league stadium in Daffin Park in Savannah built a century ago. It's an awesome experience if you ever get a chance. They've expanded it to 5,000 seats recently by adding outfield bleachers.

Although, technically, it's sometimes a home game for Party Animals or Fire Fighters. And this year there's a new Banana Ball team based in Texas. They'll be up to 6 teams next year with an actual playoff structure and Banana Ball World Series. It's amazing how much they've grown.

I didn't look closely at the picture, so I thought it was a pool and they were talking about free concessions at a swimming event. Seriously, no April Fools joke.

Obviously trying to generate some attendance with this play. "Free" seems like it will end up in a lot of waste/trash. I'd offer the concessions at a dramatically reduced rate ($1/hot dog) and go from there. But I guess I'm more concerned with the food waste than the people so that's my issue not theirs.

I don’t know how the Savannah bananas do it. The cost of a ticket to Grayson Stadium is $35 no fees, no taxes, no parking fee
Base concessions Soda Water Popcorn cookies, chips, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches all free.
We arrived early for a game and the have a party in the pavilion. Before the game even started my family of 5 had loaded up on concessions.
