Reading the article his passing came in August. Kind of amazing stuff like this stays under wraps so well.

Guy had some demons that contributed to his health issues most likely. RIP

Yeah he has some kind of addiction issues that were eventually revealed after he stopped appearing on the show

American Pickers' Frank Fritz reveals he went to rehab for alcohol problem before he was fired from the show | The US Sun (the-sun.com)
Sounds like possibly some mental health issues within that too, if you read the article he was in a toxic relationship with a gal that he found out was cheating on him. He also had a feud with Mike that lead to a falling out as well where they were not speaking with each other. So it is fair to say he was battling some demons with what was going on in his life. Frank and Mike did eventually did make amends last year it sounds like as I found a DMR article on it: desmoinesregister.com/story/news/local/columnists/courtney-crowder/2023/06/01/mike-wolfe-and-frank-fritz-american-pickers-stars-reunite-health-stroke-hint-at-return-to-show/70273214007/

Guessing after his stroke that probably led to both guys burying the hatchet.

Sure seems that way!

Haven't watched that show in years but it was one of my few "reality" TV watches back in the day. I get they are all scripted to an extent but the guys were interesting and the "stuff' was fun collectables people could relate to.
It was a fun show for a number of years. But that type of show is tough to keep fresh content. Eventually it became just the same old stuff (pun intended)

But always enjoyed watching Frank. RIP

Channel 5 is where I first saw this news. He had a stroke a couple of years ago (references the DMReg article above.)
