I am sitting in a hotel room in Sioux Falls, again, and while scanning the channels... I stopped on Fox News... Mark Fuhrman is an analyst for them... Yes... the same Mark Fuhrman that was involved in the OJ case.

I don't watch Fox News very often because I don't particularly care for them... but can ANYONE get a job doing news these days?

I often watch Fox News more for entertainment than I do to get quality news. I just like their staff better than other channels.

All televised news is a matter of opinion, whether it's FOX, CNN, or whatever combination of the alphabet soup you choose to put together. Since every single person has an opinion, everyone is qualified to be a news analyst, including Furhman. Heck - even your 3 year old kid is qualified to be a news analyst (although I'm not sure too many people in the world are worried about their opinion on the dog crapping on the carpet)

Fuhrman regained a lot of credibility when he wrote a book about the Martha Moxley murder called Murder in Greenwich. They reopened the unsolved case and the Kennedy nephew, Michael Skakel was convicted.

Fuhman is a convicted felon because of the perjury count he was found guilty of in regards to his testimony in the OJ Simpson case. He can't carry a gun or work on a police force because of this. Fox seems to hire a few of these convicted felons on their payroll ala Fuhrman, Oliver North, etc. Perhaps it is a necessary qualification.

OLLIE NORTH has many medals for his service in VIET NAM and has been to IRAQ often supporting our guys and has helped raise money for their families.
I thank him for his service to our country and consider him a true patriot.

He also admitted that he lied to Congress. He was convicted and given a suspended sentence with probation. The ACLU took up his case and on a technicality his conviction was overturned.

He was a scapegoat for the Reagan administration in the Iran-Contra affair. You are correct that he is a decorated Viet Nam veteran. But he did break the law (by his own admission) and the whole Iran Contra Affair was an illegal operation in and of itself and he was a major player. I respect and admire his service to our country in Viet Nam, but am disappointed that he chose to break the law.

FYI, the Iran Contra Affair started with the US selling weapons and arms to Iran in a covert operation illegally, and the profits from the sale of those weapons were used to fund the Contra rebels against Daniel Ortega who was democratically elected in Nicauragua.
