Speaking of superstitions and ISU tournament basketball... back in 96 when we beat Kansas to win the Big 8 tournament championship, I held a mouthful of Mountain Dew in my mouth for the entire second half of the game and finally swallowed it when we won. Crazy, I know. I would have been 11 years old at the time. It just seemed like whenever I would drink some Mountain Dew they would do something good... and I was running out of pop, so I just held the last gulp in my mouth. It's not crazy if it worked right?

Wore my ISU bball shirt that I wore when we beat Michigan, thawed out a ring of Pella Bologna from my last trip to Iowa, and had some mountain dew. As luck would have it, have 1 ring of PB left in the freezer, so it should be thawed out my tomorrow night and will have the shirt washed in the morning. Or maybe I shouldn't wash it at all...

The only Iowa State-ish thing we did was drink Coke out of our I-State mugs. I'm wearing jeans and a purple hoody, husband was wearing a plain white t-shirt and black athletic shorts.

Now I'm a touch skittish to wear anything ISU.

I made my husband stand in the kitchen for the entire game...I make him rotate throughout the house depending on runs/shots/etc..

I'm going to have my 2yr old wear the same shirt she had on the past 2 days. Seemed to work. She was at the Kansas and Baylor games we won at home in the 2011-2012 season, she is a bit of good luck.
