So with the comments from Pollard and Sage on the probable upgrades to the Berg/NEZ as well as listed budgeting listed for the '20/'21 year for said performance center, I thought I would see what people thought.
First, it's obvious something is in the works, to what extent it will include or expand JTS is completely speculation but something is coming in the NEZ.
After looking around at other stadiums and recent stadium projects and from Pollard saying it wont be Identical to the SEZ I am optimistic it will be a overhaul of the Jake and do something to finish off the stadium.
In looking at stadiums I would like to see some combination of recent expansions done on stadiums at K-State, Clemson and Arkansas.
Something worth noting, I know the hillsides are a major thing for families, which is why I think we do something like what K-State has done, their new expansion expanded what they call the "family section" where they sell "family packs" of 4 season tickets for $649, this allows kids to get up close to the players and high five them etc. They expanded this section from 1800 tickets to over 3000 when they expanded it a few years ago and added a performance center behind, and it is a huge seller.
So what I think would be great is to finish off the NEZ with a structure similar to the K-state NEZ, note the band is in one of the wings over tunnels.
Then have the performance center behind, with a smaller second deck like Clemson or Arkansas with additional premium areas (club or suite level.) Which help bring in high value tickets.
Overall, I don't think this will increase our overall capacity by much, It will basically bring the hillsides into actual seats, but still allow for a family type area that I think would be a huge seller. Plus it would finish off the NEZ, and give an awesome game day atmosphere. Considering there is aprox 6500 seats in the NEZ now between the band and the Hills I don't see it increasing a lot.

What is a performance center? Isn't that what the giant building west of the stadium is?
Players lounge, nutrition center, medical center, additional sports offices, expanded locker rooms.
Said currently they are catering in all meals, and would allow players access to snacks and supplements after workouts etc. Also has to do with new legislation and amount of contact time with staff, Im guessing adding lounge areas gives them more contact time with players that doesnt count towards official time, as well as keeping them close to the program and out of trouble.

That's the shop. This will be the bells and whistles Rhoads didn't think they needed. I'll defend that in that at the time, there probably would have had to have been other sacrifices that were more practical. It's been said that Campbell wants all of the bells and whistles in terms of a lounge and the full nutrition deal. It all makes sense as does Rhoads's thinking when it was built.

This is probably my favorite look for the endzone. You could make the lower bowl affordable seats for families along with the band. Then the second level would be another club section to generate revenue.
Have the offices and performance facility built into the endzone behind it. It would really enclose the entire stadium and take it to the next level.

Exactly what I think.

Not sure why we are talking about expanding when we only sell out against Iowa and Uni.
This isn’t entirely about expansion. It’s about turning the NEZ from an eye sore into something big time. Also adding the performance facility, player lounge, etc. that Campbell wants.

Do it once and do it right.

Anything done probably wont expand the actual capacity much, if at all. You have to consider there are 6200 Hillside tickets, plus band seating now to replace, so doing something like Clemson, Missouri, K-State, Arkansas etc. would only replace those hill sides with actual seats, but giving the Stadium a more finished look and better atmosphere. As well as more revenue generating capabilities. Plus the fact that they are going to build something in form of the Performance Center there anyway, it sounds like they might kill 2 birds with one stone.

I thought we already have a "performance facility".I just don't see us "expanding" the NEZ anytime soon.
