One item that I don't think has been mentioned about the overall capacity for football parking is the gravel intramural lot just east of University (and just south of the pedestrian bridge). It is huge. And it has moved all the staff parking out of the Hilton lots. I wonder if it has been included in the calculations about the "net gain" of parking places.

Not exactly sure.
Gotcha. I am looking at these things for my parents. This is the first year I'm getting a parking pass for them and unfortunately will be either in B1 or Vet Med. So I've been just guessing on where the parking actually is in those areas. I based my thinking i was near the back of Vet med by the shape of the parking they used on the website for picking the parking passes. But personal experience trumps a vague shape online.

What is the arrival/departure situation for Vet med? Easy to get in and out? Is it easier in B1?
I park in c1/2 because it’s the easiest in and out of any lot we have been in and we’ve parked anywhere from the 3s to G7. Vet med is slightly better than G7 was when we parked there.

That's good stuff. My parents have walked from the power plant for years and they liked the ease of in and out from there but their aging bodies can't handle that long of a walk anymore. Also, the Alumni Center with the bathroom FTW.
The tents will be on the south side of Scheman now also. So if they have a business or group that rents one, they can slide into them also.

Yes, G10 used by staff and gameday ops. This could be some of the most valuable parking inventory for those that have both visiting the RV Village and the game in their plans.

I've been told that out of the first 10 tents (going north), 8 have elected to not sponsor a tent this year. Our group was one that decided to call it quits. The university raised the price - having the tents out between Stephens and Hilton is too far for a number of our members. We believe the university wants to do away with the tents. I love the idea of CYTown, but it's going to change the atmosphere.

They should designate one of the grass lots as reserved (for example purposes, call it lot G-R, grass reserved). And the Monday before game day, open it to vetmed pass holders as a free location upgrade.

They have six hours to trade their vetmed pass for lot G-R. after the 6 hours, the remaining G-R spots and the traded in vet med spots become available for purchase alongside the other public grass lots.

Except for rainy days, the grass lots nearer the stadium and with more space would have to be preferred over vet med, right?

Does anyone offer golf cart shuttle service, seems like a profitable gig for a teen?

Seems like a huge administrative hassle for a bunch of low-end donors. And I say that as a low-end donor.

You are thinking along the same lines I was. I haven't selected yet and am scheduled this afternoon. I'm guessing I'll be stuck in VetMed after parking in B1 last year and really enjoying it. My guess is the only reason VetMed is the option and not other general lots is due to not closing it during rain like they do the other public lots? Outside of that I don't get why anyone would donate just to park there.

Sure, but they go to the hassle of doing the grass lots online for non-donors. This would essentially be adding an additional lot and letting the inventory between two lots be fluid for a day. It doesn't seem too complex and could create a lot of good will with those who has parking has been seemingly downgraded significantly.

And pay $100 for the season pass ($16.67/game) when the closer, more spacious grass lots go for $20(?)/game.

There were only like 80 B1 spots left when I selected at 11:00. I was actually shocked I was able to get B1, I thought they would be all gone by 11:00.

Looks like B1 is gone now. Only vet med left. We were really hoping to get B1 again but I guess we get what we paid for as only 2nd year donors at the lower levels.

B1 was gone by 12:35
Damn, my selection time was 11:30 and I just now had a chance to log on. I would've just skated in at the end of B1.

Side note, I still have a really hard time believing there are 720 spaces in Vet Med, even if they use the far back lot.

Any suggestions/notes from anyone who’s been at vet med before? Obviously the atmosphere has likely changed with all of the construction and lot rearrangement. Any trouble getting into the lot? We come from the north and west side of town so B1 was perfect for us last year—we didn’t have to go on university Ave at all. I’m a little concerned about now spending 30 minutes in traffic on the days we can’t get there 5 hours early.
