Heck yeah. We used to eat them by the bushel as kids. That looks like them. Are they safe to eat?

Can I have your race car?If I die, I’ve had a good life
Yeah, those are probably mulberries. Raspberries don't usually have a woody stem like that, and there are tiny thorns. If I die, I’ve had a good life
We have vines over on one side of the "lawn", but the deer & raccoons usually get most of them. Those should be fine to eat. We planted about a half dozen raspberry plants along the side of the house about 10 years ago, knowing they would spread. Fast forward to today and the plants now are wrapping around to the back of the house. It's not unusual to pick a couple hundred berries each night at my house during the peak season.
Where I live, the berries are just starting to ripen. Picking season will likely start this weekend
When we were living in the sticks in Bella Vista I had a nectarine tree in the front yard, probably about 10 feet tall. Every year it would produce a large number of nectarines and almost like clockwork there would be one night each year that something came in and stripped the whole tree bare. Same happened to an apple tree I had as well.We have vines over on one side of the "lawn", but the deer & raccoons usually get most of them.![]()
Raspberries are on very stickery bushes/stalks. They are delicious.Yeah, those are probably mulberries. Raspberries don't usually have a woody stem like that, and there are tiny thorns.
Those are mulberries and yes they are good to eat. That looks like them. Are they safe to eat?
Just don't look at them as you eat them because you will be amazed at all of the tiny bugs and spiders that have taken up residence inside that berry. With all the rain we have had lately though, there are probably fewer hitchhikers than there normally would be.Those are mulberries and yes they are good to eat.
