The Covid policies in NM are crazy. Not sure if they have lessened in the last month, but their basketball teams were living, practicing and playing out-of-state (NM- Nevada & NMSU- Texas).

I see by the link that NMSU is only playing a 2 game slate with both games in El Paso - seems like a waste of effort. But probably have to play games during this school year to keep players in the program.

Iowa State won’t play any official games but I’d love to have a normal set of spring practices. I doubt fans are allowed in attendance for our spring game like most years but I’d love to go if they let us

Saw UNI's back up and playing some games.

Good for the players that get at least some football in.

Las Cruces is only about 46 miles from El Paso, so not that inconvenient for the Aggies. fyi: Game is on FSAZ (Channel 686 on Direct TV). Go Aggies!

I went to the Drake Game yesterday. A few thoughts.
  1. First of all, beautiful day!
  2. Drake side had a nicer crowd than the previous game vs. San Diego.
  3. No fussing, cussing, barking at the refs, etc.
  4. The fans clapped at the end of the game, although, it was a little more delayed than after the San Diego Game.
  5. Not sure why, but everyone stayed in their seats after the game ended. I felt kind of guilty getting up to leave.
  6. Probably due to Drake being a 50K a year school and playing in the non-scholarship PFL, there was a real Country Club feel to it. Lots of player families in the stands.
The overall experience was GREAT, as I love the old stadium, it is easy to do, it was nice being outside for a sporting event and going to a CFB game in April is better than not going to a CFB game in April!

Looking forward to the Presbyterian Game on 4/17! If you live in Des Moines and want to go to a sporting event, it's a great option!

I'm 100% Iowa Stater, but Drake is my Hometown Team.

South Dakota State is the best team in the country. I'm not sure it's particularly close BUT they have the South Dakota version of Mark Farley as their head coach so you can't trust them in big games.

The top half of that bracket is laughably easy and the bottom is STACKED.
