Last night I bought the equipment to play Polish horseshoes in my backyard this weekend. I invested a whopping $3 in a 10ft piece of PVC and cut it in half. It got me thinking about other tailgate games. What is everybody's tailgating game of choice?

Polish horseshoes is also my favorite. It also illustrates the trait found in a man's DNA to keep a beer totally level without spillage no matter what position the body is in.

You can just get so many people involved, that is why it is the best. I also like watching when people do some game that involves spinning around something, then running. It is fun to see drunk people hurt themselves.

My wife went to UNI and I made a huge beer pong/flippy cup table that has cy on one side and the UNI logo on the other. The table has been a hit for every game, especially the UNI and Iowa games where we generally play a bunch of random fans from the other team, it's been a blast!

Yeah, and you'll regret that purchase when I'm kicking your butt tomorrow.

We played a lot of extreme flippy cup last season where after you flip you had to go do something ******** like try to climb up a flag pole or get some random person to do the next flip.

Quite hilarious

Bags, and I can't believe no one has mentioned it yet, tailgate golf. Disclaimer, all tailgate games must be accompanied with heavy drinking.

No ladder golf, I went with the name on the carrying case. See cyclones.com store for pic of the set we have. You could do the other too though. I'm envisioning a chipping contest of sorts between teams into a pitcher of beer. If someone actually makes it, the other team would have to select a member to chug the whole thing. Don't let Tiger play in it, you wouldn't make it to the game.:biglaugh:

Paint the face and offer visiting fans eggs the color of their team... (aka for K-State, purple and yellow eggs)

That sobered up the drunk people that were huddled together in their SUV hiding from the cold and the crazy ISU fans...

Am I right in assuming that Ladder Golf, Tailgate Golf, Polish Horeshoes, Redneck Golf, and Blongo Ball are all the same game with the PVC piping and the golf balls attached with rope? If so that's a lot of different names for the same game.

Beer Darts, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone else play but we enjoy it. Pretty simple two teams of two sitting in lawn chairs. Teams are opposite of each other about 15 feet apart. There is a beer can in between the each set of teammates.

You toss darts at the beer. If the dart punctures the can in the top half the team with the beer in between them has to drink half the beer and the team throwing the dart gets one point.

If the dart punctures the bottom half of the can it's two points and a shotgunned beer.

We play to 18 have to win by 2.

Sorry if you all knew how to play.

Polish horseshoes is 2 pieces of PVC stuck in the ground. A beer bottle balanced on top of each. And teams of 2 throw a frisbee back and forth trying to knock the bottle off.
