I can't even name a favorite episode but my favorite line is the one where they find out Charlie is burning their trash in the furnace and he says it gives the bar that nice smell that everyone likes, and that it's good for the environment because it floats into the sky and turns into stars. And they just allow it because they don't know enough about stars to dispute it.

Nice Oakey smell

I think the one that sealed it for me as one of my favorite shows was The Gang Finds a Dumpster Baby from the beginning of the third season. All three story lines were gold.

The "who pooped the bed" episode was awesome. That and the intervention episode.

The episode that hooked me was the Season 1 episode where Charlie finds out that he might be a dad, and uses what he believes is his son to woo the waitress, but the kid ends up getting **** faced at Paddy's and throwing up all over the alley.

All-time favorite episode? "The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention". It might be one of the funniest episodes of any show, ever.

"I've only got a few years left, so I might as well get real weird with it. Now, block the wind while I roast this bone!"

The Gang gives Frank an Intervention episode. Wine in a can, Gail the Snail (and the subsequent salting of the snail), Frank getting a handy under the table. I laugh every time I see that episode, no matter how many times I see it.

Yeah, "The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention" was the first one that came to mind. The disc with that episode and the road trip was what got me hooked. Also,

It has a ton of the great cliches/lines associated with the show, all in one episode.

It was ra-COON meat. You're probably hungry 'cause it was lousy with parasites!

I think it was the second episode I ever saw, and I just lost it. Charlie is amazing in that episode.

But I totally agree, intervention is probably my favorite episode. You know an episode's going to be good when it starts with Frank trying to bag his ex-sister in law at a funeral, and that's the start of a very sharp descent.

"For God's sake Gail, you're 33 years old. You're supposed to be sexually active!"

I'm not sure if this is my favorite episode but this scene from when they run for office kills me:

(The starred out word is s-c-r-i-p-t)

Charlie You got that ****** that I wrote? Grab that ******.
Dennis: I've been meaning to speak to you about this. I can't read these words. They're not in the right order.
Charlie It's good.
Dennis: I think you might be dyslexic, bro. I'm not reading this.
Charlie No, no, no, please read it.
Dennis: I think you might be dyslexic bro.
Charlie Just read the ****** once.
Dennis: Okay you want me to read the ******?
Charlie
Yes. And action.
Dennis: I'll read the words you wrote. "Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you. Thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot." What? "Taxes, they'll be lower. Son. The Democratic vote for me is right thing to do Philadelphia. So do." This doesn't make any sense!

Cat in the wall, eh?

For me, the whole shows about the one liners. Kitten Mittens, the DENNIS system, Intervention are all great but each show just has a line somewhere that kills me so...

Later dudes. S you in your A's, don't wear a C and J all over your B's.
