Start at the far end of your lawn. Mow one direction, a pain but it required. Keep blowing onto the unmowed part of your lawn, it will mulch it up better. Last pass, keep blowing it the same direction. Your neighbor does not want you on his lawn so stop at that point.
The grass really hasn't grown since a couple of weeks ago and with the bag on it shouldn't be a problem.

Missed the fall overseed window in Late Sept/Early October so now I’m reading about dormant broadcast seeding. Lawn looks pretty good already, just looking to thicken, cover some areas and make it more uniform. Anyway, wanted to get opinions, and anything to do going into spring. Is Weed-And-Feed a no go in spring since the seeds won’t start until after the thaw?

The problem with dormant seeding is timing your crabgrass pre-emergent in the Spring. Your seed will be sprouting at about the same time as the crabgrass seeds and it's difficult to get the desired results without messing up your desired germination. If you skip the crabgrass control next Spring, you'll end up with a crabgrass problem.

Tenacity can help with that. It can be used safely at time of seeding, or in the spring while turfgrass is emerging in this case.

Mesotrione is cool tech but expensive and hard to find. I've never heard of people using it for winter seeding and then applying the following Spring. Why not wait until Spring, put down the seed and Tenacity, and then apply the prodiamine or dithiopyr after the grass is established? I think this would be a better plan than winter seeding .

Agreed, timing would be tricky. Spring seeding would work just as well in this case.

I bought Tenacity online and used it with great results with an August seeding and heavy irrigation. Lots of weeds, but the Tenacity took care of them nicely.
