Idea: Excluding Thread Categories

Is it possible to exclude certain thread categories from showing up on my cyclonefanatic home page?

For example, I would like to continue to see all threads pertaining to football, basketball etc, but would prefer never to see a thread about wrestling, gymnastics or off topic.

It would work like an ignore list for users, but deal with thread topics instead.

You can exclude any forum from the "New Posts". Just bookmark it with an exclude param.

To not view religion and politics use this:
http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=31

You can combine them also. So if you want to also ignore the press release archive forum:
http://www.cyclonefanatic.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=31,29

I suppose not, as I can just not open the thread categories I don't care to see. My thinking was that this way certain threads I cared about would appear, where as threads I didn't care about wouldn't take up room.

Now that would be a fun discussion website! But for now I just use the block function around here. And I guess I need to add zimman18 to the list. (Might have to add zimman19 in case the guy changes his username when he gets a year older....)

I have a list of forum id numbers somewhere.

You can also do the reverse and change the "exclude=" for "include=" to only get new posts in certain forums.

I just make this link my CF link in FF or IE.
