was there for the game today. What a great, great person. Still wearing he ISU lettermans jacket and also was taking pictures with every kid / adult that asked. Always smiling and thanking everyone.

Thank you Ellis for making the Cyclone Family proud!

Hopefully he will recover from his neck injury and get back on the field (next season?). I've always enjoyed watching him in the NFL, which says a lot because I'm not much of an NFL fan.

doesn't he claim his High School in the little NFL intros, or am I thinking of someone else?

True.. but part of the reason could be because he never did graduate college am I correct? Either way he is still a Cyclone.
Yeah I don't think he graduated but I heard he was somehow taking classes outside of ISU to finish his degree. Anybody have any info about this?

he graduated from ISU this last spring. I was there for graduation and saw him get his diploma!! plus, a ton of dudes in the NFL never graduated from the college they attended but I don't hear many high schools being called out during the intros.

He was there today, so he obviously supports ISU still!! good for him, hopefully he's a donor too

That'd be him....DeSoto HS.:skeptical:

please God, not this again.

He has said ISU before, but gave a little love to his high school for a few intros. He doesn't have anything against ISU, and we still claim him regardless of his graduation status.

Good heavens, I'm tired of this misapprehension. Most NFL players at one time or another mention either their college, their high school or even their junior college, just to give all of their schools a little love.

He did an intern type deal with the Patriots to finish up the few credits he was short.

I wasn't taking any type of stance on how I feel about that, In fact I was hoping to have the question of "why" answered. hence the "or was that someone else" at the end of my post because I couldn't recall if that was him or not. no need to be an ***
