At least one history professor "wishes" that Melvin wasn't as talented at basketball as he is, so that we could recruit him for graduate school. That prof loves basketball, he just know that Melvin will essentially have other things to do.
Another had no idea that Melvin is on our team, which spoke to his quiet nature about things. One day this season, he found out, and mentioned "So I hear that you're a big deal." Apparently, Melvin kind of blushed, then shrugged the idea off.
I found this article on Ejim after reading your post:

Pretty cool. There's always room for graduate school after the pros.

Don't get me wrong, Melvin busts his butt out there, probably the hardest worker on the floor most nights but I think his bball IQ is underrated. He is always in the right spots to make buckets, get boards, or at least tip the ball out to someone else. It seems like he always talking to the other guys, and coaching staff as well. I like to think of him as the poster boy for Fred's player development. The best thing is.....we get another year to watch him play!
