Earphone upgrade

From the reviews I've been reading, the triports let in a lot of outside noise. I really like the isolation of the "ear canal" type of earphones.

we may be talking about different things. im talking about the triport headphones where you cant hear anything with them on. i think you mean the earphones that stick inside your ear. i hate all earphones

I got a pair of Bang and Olufsen earphones that are great. They have them at the Apple Store for about $150. Sound excellant and stay in the ear with no problem and comfortable.

I'm one of those guys that can easily convince myself to spend more money on things. I catch myself thinking that if a $150 pair is good, a $250 pair must be awesome! I just wonder how much better they can be to the average person.

It will probably depend on your source. If you are just using them for an ipod or laptop without a separate amp you will probably notice very little difference in sound quality.
