Gomez, Leisure, and Coleman bonused their way to titles. Coleman pinned a decent kid in the finals from Northwestern (#8 at 170 by Flo last year). St. John got 2nd and Diblasi was third. Diblasi lost to the #4 ranked kid in NJCAA in the semifinals.

Gomez, Leisure, and Coleman bonused their way to titles. Coleman pinned a decent kid in the finals from Northwestern (#8 at 170 by Flo last year). St. John got 2nd and Diblasi was third. Diblasi lost to the #4 ranked kid in NJCAA in the semifinals.

Love seeing Coleman pinning a guy who was ranked similarly to him last year. Shows that he was either underrated out of high school or has really improved himself since getting onto our campus, or maybe both.

Marcus Coleman is a true freshman from Ames. He will be our 174 pounder next year. He is like 23-2 this year in open tournaments.

Austin Gomez is a true freshman from Illinois. He is about 5-0 and 2 open tourney wins. He will probably be our 133 pounder next year, but competing against Marcus Simmons, who he beat in OT last week. Coming off a concussion, so that is why so few matches.

Ryan Leisure is a true freshman from Clear Lake. He will be competing for 149, maybe 157 spot next year. His record is probably about 20-4.

Skyler St John is a transfer from Iowa. Brother to Coach Derek St John. Been starting off and on at 165. Has dealt with lots of injuries in his career.

Colston DiBlasi is from Missouri. Was our starter last year at 157. Has started a few matches at 165.
