It should be noted that I think the Register is owned by the same group that owns the Chicago Cubs. If I'm wrong on this, please tell me, but I've always been told this by people I trust.

Register is owned by Gannett, they also own USA Today. Cubs are owned by the Tribune Company.

I get the Iowa edition of the world herald and it generally has more coverage of ISU and Iowa. During training camp they have 3 things every day about Nebraska. the DMR doesn't even compare. When it comes down to it what do people care about in Iowa, football, why should we have to go to Omaha for isu football.

You're exactly right. I grew up getting the World Herald and lived in Omaha for a couple of years. The OWH has more articles on Nebraska than the DMR has on ISU, iowa, UNI and Drake combined. Really, it's pathetic. They should have practice updates daily. The team has 105 scholarship players. The paper should be able to have player profiles almost daily with three D1 schools in state.
