Despite our fanbase commiting to a coordinated color scheme for the first time ever and fire works and beating d*cK off Baylor and being 5-0 for the first time in 40 years I am still disappointed.

I was promised dronez and I didn't get dronez.

If they're not going to sell beer in the stands at least they can have drones.

Drones. Thoughts?

Have they given an official explanation yet? I'm assuming the wind was just too great to be safe.

Be glad and enjoy the win over Baylor! Maybe they will postpone it for one of the next two home games?

If you miss that, or they cancel the drones outright, that would be disappointing. You can't change weather.

I assume they were going to coordinate it with the band performing a The Wizard of Oz halftime show. Making a drone tornado over the tornadoes on the field lifting the house seems obvious.

The stadium announcer said it was canceled due to wind, my uncle has a drone flying license for crop scouting and he told me that over 15 mph things can get dicey especially with smaller drones (which I assume they would’ve been)

I figured the safe cutoff was around 15 mph. You don't want drones crashing into the crowd. Would not look good.

Or be good. My guess is that would be lowered to around 8-10 mph (no higher?), if the drones were en masse and performing over a large crowd.

No it's treated like a home run or foul ball. I feel like I lost an opportunity for a free drone.

Honestly didn’t know you needed a license to fly a drone. Is that a new thing? I just assumed you bought a drone and then could fly it

Saw the crew setting up a few hundred little drones in the construction area when I was walking in. Can't control weather. Hopefully it is rolled into a future game. Did they hold off on the fireworks too? There were some, but I thought there was supposed to be a display at the end of the game. Perhaps both will appear at a future game.

I live near WB studio and one night they put the bat signal in the sky with drones. Something I wouldn’t have thought I’d see in real life as a kid.

I tailgate with a guy who is licensed to fly drones. In the afternoon before the game he said that the winds were too high for drones.
