Does Steve Prohm have a new unofficial standard?

Sure. But like I said, I don’t really care what your overall conference record is. I care about results. And their end results are very similar.

Doesn’t your overall conference record equate to “results.” Are you saying that 9-9 is the same as 12-6 if neither team wins the regular season title?

Lol Iowa State doesn’t have a DEEP tradition and history. We have a good one, that’s about it.

I suppose more support for the "good tradition" is the NCAA assumption test. Think of it this way... Ask generic basketball fans whether they would think of Iowa State as "always or usually in the NCAA tournament", the answer would be 'Yes'.

Yes, it would have some recency bias, but it means we're assumed to be in the top 25-40 range (at large teams) on a recurring basis...as we should be.:)

I would call it a decently strong 'good'.

Fred will probably win a National Championship at Nebraska and at least a third of CF will commit suicide.

I would say more like 75 percent will commit suicide if fearless freddy hoiberg were to win a Natl Championship at NU or any other university of ill repute.....LOL...who cares what freddy hoiberg is doing now anyway....Let the man Lose In Peace at nebbie.....

Yep. Niang, Morris, Thomas, Nader, Burton, Naz and McKay. Cupboard was definitely bare.

Nader and Burton flourished in a way under Prohm that was astonishing. All I’m saying is that those people that want to excuse CSP’s 3rd year (which is fine) should also view CFH’s 1st year in the same way.

I told you earlier that CSP has now mostly matched what CFH accomplished. He needs to get better with his in-game adjustments and as he does this program will cement itself as a Top 3-4 program in the Big 12.

I don’t think anyone would ever hold his first year against him. He was left with nothing. He got some guys to come in the following year, so he could sell hope.

But they also lost a lot of tough close games too.

He also left a chasm that was only delayed because Monte got bad feedback from the scouts and Naz got hurt.
