Does anyone see us winning this game.

I have to be honest. I have not felt like this big of an underdog in year. Minus the 2-10 season of course.

Everytime I look at the game I just can't see us being able to get a victory. Hopefully I am wrong.

By the way. There are no moral victories this year. It's win or lose. Lose is bad.

Yes, I do. They have great athletes and great speed, but those things can be overcome by game planning and schemes. But do we have the coaches that can outwit Texas?
I'll see how i feel when i'm **** drunk on Sat. at 2:30.

We've played them close before. I would be surprised if we won, but I wouldn't be lighting cars on fire excited.

Clucko the Chicken picked us to win on collegefootballnews.com

Incidently, Clucko won the 2000 bowl pool among 24 entrants.

Yes. I think we can win.

But we need to pull out all of the stops.

I completely agree with this. I would feel better losing 50-0 with the feeling like we went down there and did everything we could to win, than losing 28-10 with the feeling like we were afraid of getting embarrassed.

Anything's possible, and ISU played Texas close last time they went to Austin. ISU will probably have to be +2 in the takeover margin and get outstanding plays from everyone on the field to win.

If each team plays to their potential, I will be happy with ISU keeping it within 10 points. ISU has great chances to beat Nebraska and Oklahoma though, both teams are much more beatable than Texas.

Well, I won't see us winning this game...of course that is because I have to go to a wedding that afternoon, so I won't be able to see the game, let alone see us winning the game...

We need to score first to get some confidence. I'm always scared when the other team gets the ball first and scores first. We are not a come from behind team. We need some 4th down stops and some turn overs!

If I had seen something the first 3 games offensively, I would be more confident. But, what I've seen this season, I don't see us winning. I'm feeling 35-13.

But, I've been wrong plenty of times. I've got college exams that prove it!

We won't win, I hate to be so pessimistic, but what has ISU shown us so far, to think we have a chance?

Yep. Totally agree.

Before the season, I thought we'd be more explosive and have a punchers chance against TX. But, this start has lowered my expectations.

I think we will come out focused and fired up for this game. I just have a feeling that this team learned something after the loss on Saturday. Austin, Brent, and Deandre will be going home to play. If our offense doesn't pull out all of the stops, move the ball, and score some points, I will be upset.

For some reason, I have a good feeling about this game. I think we have a better shot at Texas than we do Oklahoma.

This is probably the toughest game in ISU history when you look at the young defense we have, the place we're playing, the team we're playing, the defense we're playing, the lack of a 4 qtr performance from us thus far, etc.

In other words, the cards are all stacked against us but sometimes that seems to be when we do the best, unless it comes down to a field-goal:)

I don't see us winning it but I can see us coming as close as a touchdown, or as bad as a 40-50 point blowout. That's just being realistic. I would love us to win and would be the happiest man in the world if we did, I just won't be placing money on it.

I look at it this way; we have the talent to win, we have the desire I think to win, but we don't have anything going in our favor right now and there is a lot of improvement to be had before we can feel confident even matching up against UNI in a couple of weeks, let alone the defending national champs in arguably the toughest place to play in any sport in the country.

I started to think like that a couple days ago and then I had to look at what all the signs so far have pointed to. I don't think it matters how much energy and desire our players have to win, it's the coaches that need to show our talents and get us the win.

We came out firing on all cylindars against Iowa and that wasn't enough to beat the #3 team in one of the weakest Big Ten conferences I can ever remember. Now we're against last years national champion in their home stadium and we need every one of our coaches to have an epiphany between now and Saturday to have a chance.
