Do we move up the rankings?

You gotta figure we probably have the most impressive wins this early in the season (I know that isn't saying a whole ton) but do you think we move up in the rankings? A lot of analyst are putting Iowa State between 12-16 when the next poll comes out. Obviously, we need to take care of UMKC but I'm pretty confident we win by 20+ in that one.

Itd be awesome to see a top 15 team in Hilton. Dont care what anyone else says about the rankings or not liking it, I love having a top 25 team. Hoping our guys can sustain it this season and not let it get to their heads! Definitely going to have a big target on our backs this season as well. Bring it on, last night showed we can win in an extremely tough environment with 3 of our top players off the floor. Loving this team so far!

For us to enter the top 15, a few teams ahead of us must lose. 18-19 would be more realistic, i think

I believe we move into the 15-20 range.

And we should embrace being ranked no matter when it is during the season. Are polls this early in the b-ball worthless? Sure they are, but it's still better to get some recognition than none at all.

I'll be the first to admit I thought we'd be 2-2 at this point. Not because I don't think we have a good team capable of making the NCAAs, but rather how tough those two game were. Pass me the Kool Aid, the upside of this team is huge.

No one ahead of us actually has to lose. It's just a matter of voting based on who they think deserves it.

If the voters look at our record and the 2 key wins, we deserve to move up regardless of what any other team does.

If we don't enter the coaches' poll, something is pathetically wrong.

I'm calling #15 without upsets ahead of us, and #12 as the highest if there are a few upsets.

We'll be ranked pretty highly for these two wins by most polls and computers except Kenpom because we score too much and don't have enough players from last year's team.

I'm guessing we get a solid bump in the AP unless nobody in front of us loses (have they already?), even if nobody does I wouldn't be surprised to jump 1-2 spots.

I think we move up to 18 or 19. As good as the win was, I think it more so solidified the ranking than proved we should be ranked higher.

Same here. We'll move up a little but more than anything it proved we deserved the ranking we have. This win will be big in keeping us ranked if we stumble for a game or two later in the season.

Memphis is the only one this week i think. Baylor almost pulled off a loss to charleston southern last night.

We'll probably rise a bit this week both due to the BYU win and that some votes for last week (especially in the coaches poll) were probably cast before the michigan game. Then next week we should continue to move up if other teams lose given our only game is against UMKC.

Best part rankings wise about winning is that we can probably lose one in the noncon and stay ranked. Could realistically spend the next few months rated.

I think we end up about 16. The thing to remember like some people said is there were people who made their votes before the Michigan game so we will get those people for this week.

I think probably, but with no game over the weekend, maybe not a lot. This is a huge road win in a tough building, but ISU moving up this week will probably depend more on what happens to the teams ranked above them. I do think this will put ISU in the coaches poll though. Probably in the 18-22 range.

Just realized we didn't get ranked in the coach's poll....smgdh.

It's really time to just scrap that poll, it's worthless.
