DirecTV is a lot closer to the awesomeness its ads portray than every McDonalds burger and sandwich advertised my entire life. If DirectTV had the same honesty standards as McDonalds they would keep their ads unchanged but provide every customer with just this:

At $135/month for DirecTV for 3 HD tv's, I think my DirecTV days are coming to an end.
I hear you. I'd consider switching to Dish but my wife hates switching and having to learn new stuff. Only other option for me is Mediacon which I will not do. If Imon (formerly McLeod) ever comes to my hood I'll strongly consider them.

I hated Direct tv always being down every time there is a storm,
When I had DTV way back when this was an issue. Since they went to the larger dishes it's really not a problem. I can't really remember the last time went out due to weather, it has to be a really torrential downpour and then only maybe.
