did this year in open tournaments? Obviosly next year we're going to be pretty salty and right there with OSU, Minnesota, and Iowa. However, I'd like to know a little more of what we're looking at in 2010-11. Thanks.

I dont have time to look it all up, but I know that Valles beat the reigning DII national champ, matt brown went like 22-6, andrew long and eric thompson are both beastin. spangler is doing decent. he is taking the weight transition a little tough, i think, as he wrestled 119 as a junior in hs but he wrestled 171 as a senior and 174 this year.

I dont know much about the others.

I was thinking about this Today. We all know what the lineup will be next year, basically this years lineup with maybe some twists. But,

What will ISU's wrestling Lineup be for 2010 - 2011, when we go for our 5th Straight Big 12 Title?

Here is my WAY TO EARLY, ISU Line Up prediction.

CAUTION: I have no extra insight, I have not seen any of these guys wrestling. I have no idea who would move up or if these guesses or very good. I'm just putting Names next to Weights.

Weight - Name, Projected Year
125 - Dave Taylor, FR
133 - Clark, SR
141 - Jensen, JR
149 - Weatherman, FR
157 - Nate Carr Jr, SR
165 - Spangler, SO
174 - Reader, SR
184 - Sorenson, JR
197 - Ward, JR
HWT - Thompson, SO

What do you think?????

Cool,

Thanks for the Information. That is Great. I thought Taylor was smaller, it sounds like he is doing great.

Do you think your projected 2010 - 2011 Lineup will be as Solid as this years Lineup? This is PURE Speculation.

Also, Do you see any surprises for next year?

I would like to see Clark take a redshirt and grow into the 133 pound class. This would allow Long to get some mat time and set us up better for '10-'11 season.

But we might need to keep Clark in the lineup to hang with Iowa next year.

I have heard that the clark redshirt will happen from one of the guys on the team, but it was at the beginning of the season and who knows if it really will.

Also, do you think krutsinger or moore can beat long? Is ramos going to redshirt?

Moore has been unimpressive wrestling at 133 this year. I do believe that he will be very good if he can make the cut to 125. I have seen Ramos wrestle and do not believe that he would be able to beat Moore next year.

Taylor has said that he could be as high as 174 after his redshirt season.

I heard thompson was struggeling thats why we are bringing in another HWT this year

I hope this is not true. I was really hoping Thompson would be a dominate HWT after Big Z left. Was hoping he would start as a RS SO and instantly be a top 4 in his weight class.

Any details on his struggles. Is he just not competitive? Or is it issues with commitment and transition to college life?

I would assume wrestling Big Z and Varner (and Cael) everyday might be hurting his confidence. Can't image stiffer competition as a redshirt freshmen. However, if he can stick with it going up against these guys for 2 years will toughen him up. May not get any harder ever in his remaining 3 years.

I agree, I was really hoping Thompson would be able to step right in the fire after Big Z left. Man the Big 12 is TOUGH at HWT. Not only this year and next, but 2 yrs from now will also be very good.

NU's - Lane (Freshman) looked good and Beat Rosholt.
MU's - Bradley (Freshman) is very good.
